In 1974, the Lubavitcher Rebbe included as one of the Ten Mitzva Campaigns giving charity every weekday. The mitzva (commandment) of charity is so important that it is referred to as "the mitzva" in the Talmud. Our Sages teach that charity is such an integral mitzva because it brings the Redemption closer. Give charity each weekday (but not on Shabbat or holidays). It is as simple as dropping a few coins in a charity box ("pushka").

A current Insight:
When you give for a worthy cause, it is really only a loan and G-d Himself is the guarantor. Furthermore, the more you give, the more you get. I don't mean this figuratively. I say so you will test it and see for yourself
